On July 13, 2022, the Industry-University-Research Cooperation Conference between Liyang Smart City Research Institute of Chongqing University and the School of Urban Construction took place in Room 341 of the Mingxing Building. Attendees included Vice Dean Xiaohong Lei, Office Director Yuan Gao, Science and Technology Center Director Chuan Shang, and Chief Engineer Yifeng Wu from Chongqing Zongheng Engineering Design Co., Ltd., as well as Vice Dean Wei Wei and other representatives from the Technology Transfer Institute (Changzhou University) and the School of Urban Construction.

 Dean Pinghua Zhu chaired the meeting. Vice Dean Wei Wei delivered the welcoming speech, extending a warm welcome to the experts from Liyang Research Institute of Chongqing University and Chongqing Zongheng Engineering Design Co., Ltd. He provided an overview of the development history and current state of Industry-University-Research cooperation at Changzhou University, showcasing outstanding achievements in this area and sharing success stories in the transformation of technological achievements at the Technology Transfer Institute. Dean Zhu Pinghua elaborated on the development process and discipline construction of the School of Urban Construction at Changzhou University, highlighting research accomplishments in green building energy-saving technology, solid waste resource utilization, and resilient urban construction, while proposing ideas for collaboration.

 Vice Dean Lei Xiaohong expressed great anticipation for the meeting and offered a comprehensive introduction to the work progress of Liyang Smart City Research Institute of Chongqing University in construction planning, infrastructure scale, management mode, achievement transformation, and talent cultivation. He suggested that both sides should pursue multi-angle, multi-dimensional, and deep-level cooperation in the establishment of research institutes, Industry-University-Research collaboration, and talent introduction mechanisms. Director Chuan Shang contributed constructive ideas for cooperation on smart city planning and design, while Director Yuan Gao presented feasible suggestions on the cooperation model between the two institutions.

 In conclusion, experts from both sides engaged in lively discussions on topics such as joint technological research and development, Industry-University-Research cooperation, talent cultivation, and resource sharing. They reached preliminary cooperation intentions, laying a solid foundation for future collaboration in areas such as scientific and technological achievement transformation, resource sharing, and talent cultivation. This conference marks a new starting point for win-win cooperation between Liyang Smart City Research Institute of Chongqing University and the School of Urban Construction at Changzhou University.
